Where "Dental" Dreams Come True

Back in the middle of May, Brian and I, as well as the 5 other residents and their families had the opportunity to go to Anaheim to go to Disneyland!!!  Can you believe the Air Force actually paid for Brian to take days off work to go to Disneyland!?  Ok not really...The Air Force sent Brian (and the 5 other residents) to Anaheim for the California Dental Association convention which was HUGE!!!  There were so many teeth things down there it was ridiculous!  Everywhere we went there were dentists, hygienists, sales people, toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss...any kind of dental equipment or person associated with teeth you can think of was there.

While we were down there, Brian had to present a project he's been working on for the past few months, but other than that, he was able to have some free time!  In that free time, we were able to go to Disneyland (which neither of us had ever been to!) as well as the beach.  We had a great time with all of our friends and I'm so glad we were all able to go!  Luckily, we stayed at a hotel which was right across the street from Disneyland so we were able to walk just about everywhere.  Although Disneyland was fun and brought the inner child in me out, it still doesn't live up to Disney World!  Disneyland seriously needs to consider putting in an Animal Kingdom Park and an Epcot.  Either way, here are some fun pictures from our trip:)

Two-Year Anniversary!

It's hard to believe that it's been two whole years since Brian and I took the plunge and tied the knot!  It seems like time has just flown by!  For our two year anniversary, we went into San Francisco and saw a show called "Beach Blanket Babylon."  It's a play that's been going on since the early 1900's and it's soo much fun!  The play itself is constantly changing to keep up with current news and events...basically, they dress up in these ridiculous costumes with huge hats and sing hilarious songs about current events.  Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures!  I don't know what I was thinking but to give you an idea, here's some pictures from their website...

 Crazy ridiculous hats and costumes...

Having a good time with the royal wedding!

Easter in San Francisco at the Braves game...or should I say Giants game?

Over Easter weekend, the Braves were playing the Giants here in San Francisco...what better way to spend an Easter Sunday than eating hotdogs at a ballpark?!  I guess we didn't have any better ideas so we went ahead and bought tickets to the game and had a great time!  It was actually my first time in another teams stadium besides the Braves but it kinda felt like home since the Braves were there:)  It ended up being a beautiful day in San Fran...a little chilly but blue skies more or less.  The Braves ended up winning which was fun!  Here's some pics from AT&T Park as well as our adventures afterwards...

Ok so you can kind of see them here, but if you look closely, there are some seagulls on the field.  This picture does not do the seagull mayhem justice!!!  There were hundreds of seagulls right after the game was over...they must have known how messy we all are because they were up in those seats eating all the left over food.  We're so lucky we didn't get pooped on!!

Just can't get enough pictures of the Golden Gate:)

And we're moving to....

As many of you know, we moved to California under the understanding that we would be moving again this summer due to Brian's AEGD program.  Since I found a job out here that I absolutely love, we were originally thinking that we might want to try to stay out here, but unfortunately that wasn't going to work out.  A few months back, we had to rank 40 something bases around the world in order of our preference.  We had no idea what kind of approach to take when ranking these bases since there is always so much gossip going around on base...some people will tell you not to rank the "highly sought after bases" at all because if you put those first and you aren't eligible, the automatically move to the end of your list and put you somewhere you definitely don't want to be.  Essentially, we tried to pick a few bases that were in really cool places and then put a few that weren't so great but wouldn't be terrible.  It was a grueling process that took waaaayyyyy too much time and thinking...eventually I got tired of it and thought we should just draw names out of a hat...Brian wasn't really for that idea.  After some serious thinking, we completed our list, turned it in, and never looked back.

Now on to the fun part...how did Brian break the news of our new assignment you ask?!  Well...my mom and I were out shopping one day and we came home to a living room full of Easter Eggs.  Brian had put 2 dozen Easter eggs around the living room with one special one containing our new assignment in it!  It was so creative and fun!  I finally found the golden egg, opened it up, and found out that we're moving to.......drumroll...........CHARLESTON, SC!  We're super excited and can't wait to be closer to home and to family and friends!  Here's some pictures of the eggs...

Brian's New Ride

A few weeks ago, my parents came to visit for my spring break!  We had a great time and just kinda did some fun things around here!  One night, we were outside talking to our neighbors and this is what happened...

Brian got in our neighbor's daughters powerwheel mustang and was driving around our court for a while.  I think it suits him well!

Just "Coast"ing Along

So a few weeks ago, Brian and I decided to load up the bikes, head over to San Francisco and bike around.  Apparently, our big plans of biking the bridge and not to mention, all over the city, turned out to be wishful thinking.  We found ourselves in a nice Sausalito restaurant eating some great Italian food that I regret to inform you was never burned off from our preplanned biking trip...we never made it that far!  Haha!  Instead, we drove around the area across the Golden Gate that is part of the 49-mile drive.  It's so beautiful and amazing!  At the most western point of the road, there is an old fort that was used during some of the wars...I don't know exactly which ones but it was still pretty neat!  Here are some pictures to prove it...
